Police brutality.
In Britain, Conservative Prime Minister David Cameron is attempting to implement reforms to the NHS, Britain’s universal health care system. Facing opposition from his own constituency, Cameron attempts to reassure Britons:
“We will not be selling off the NHS, we will not be moving towards an insurance scheme, we will not introduce an American-style private system,” Prime Minister David Cameron emphatically told a group of healthcare workers in a nationally televised address last week
Ironic, isn’t it? We’re the only country in the western world without a universal health care system. Yet, being the overwhelming minority, our system sends fear down the spines of our European counterparts.
In the United States, President Obama couldn’t pass the simplest, most common sense reforms to our health care system (coverage of pre-existing conditions, closure of the Medicare doughnut-hole, a necessity that all citizens have basic health care to eliminate cost sharing, an expansion of Medicaid for the poor, etc.) without being blasted as a “socialist,” or wishing to implement “socialized medicine.”
And now, Conservative PM David Cameron cannot implement NHS reforms without being targeted as one who is trying to create an American style system and all of its horrors: lack of coverage, almost double the cost of other European systems, private sector and insurance based, benefiting the wealthy and affluent.

Someone left this on my windshield.
It reads:
I’m sure you are a nice person, but hopefully you are waking up to the horrible damage Obama is doing to this country. Look, he wasn’t qualified to run a merry-go-round, much less this country. He is a Marxist since his teen years. Nothing he has done has done anything positive.
This was in response to my Obama and Democratic Party bumper stickers.
I guess expanding health care coverage to over 35 million Americans, the CBO giving the falling unemployment numbers specifically to Obama’s stimulus bills, killing Osama bin-Laden, providing 18 tax cuts to small businesses, and deescalating the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan equate to “horrible damage.”
